With over 20 years of experience as an agri-entrepreneur with domain expertise in agri-markets, project development and economic revitalization, Nadia Zeine founded Grainpark an agro- industrial company dedicated to providing state-of-the-art grain storage and management facilities for post harvest management; and Volta Farms, a farm that harvests tropical crops, herbs and pesticide-free fruits for the medicinal and healthcare industries.

Currently the Co-founder and Executive Director of Volta Presentation Farms Co. Ltd (VPF), Nadia is committed to improving the economic well-being and health of her people through agriculture. Her formation of Volta Presentation Farms in 2011 as an agribusiness that combines sustainable agriculture with high-quality food processing standards, was to assist in the achievement of her objectives. Since its commencement till date, VPF, with several hundred hectares for cultivation, has developed its capacity to use environmentally sustainable methods in production and distribution to the international market. VPF has a production output of about 12,000MT of organic refined herbs and aromatic plants annually for export to Europe.

In addition to leading VPF, Nadia is also the Founder of Unearthing Herbs, makers of Ghana’s finest herbal teas and supplements, Guaman Infusions distributed in over 130 outlets in Ghana and Nigeria. Unearthing Herbs encapsulates Nadia’s vision and belief in value addition and industrialization as being the necessary catalyst for Africa’s economic development through agriculture. Currently, Unearthing Herbs has over 17 diverse products under its brands and has captured nearly 50% of the herbal tea drinking market in Ghana alone. Under Nadia’s direction, Volta Presentation Farms and Unearthing Herbs have been able to expand their presence in West Africa, by increasing their product range to capture various demographic groups.

Throughout her entrepreneurial career, Nadia has gained a lot of experience in developing new businesses into reputable brands and establishing relationships with international business partners. From her past roles as Managing Director of Venues Limited (2005 – 2009) and Brand Effect (2009 – 2014), Nadia led both companies in developing brands for corporate clients through market structuring and repositioning, product commercialization, and public relation management. This positioned her to interact with diverse industries, giving her a firm understanding of Ghana’s business environment.

Now Nadia serves as Managing Director of Integrated Sustainable Agriculture Fund (ISAF) a venture fund that will invest in the emergence of the commercial and technological agricultural sector throughout Africa in effort to partake in innovations that are closing the $1T funding gap; as Africa has the largest in gap in the agricultural sector despite 75% of the content relying on agriculture production for their livelihoods - which will amplify her commitment to rural development through agriculture is underpinned by an unrelenting dedication to the promotion of agriculture in Africa, believing it to be one of the principal ways to reduce poverty and enhance the continent’s economic transformation.
