Since 1993, Professor of Economics, and 2003-007, Director, International Center for Korean Studies, Korea University. 2007-10, Head, Office of Regional Economic Integration and 2008-10, Acting Chief Economist and Chief Economist, Asian Development Bank. Since January 2011, Senior Adviser for International Economy to the President of the Republic of Korea and a G20 Sherpa. Adjunct Professor, Economics Division, Australian National University. Author or Co-Author of numerous articles and books, including: Rebalancing for Sustainable Growth; Asia's Postcrisis Challenges; Costs and Benefits of Economic Integration in Asia; Asian Regionalism in the World Economy; The Future Global Reserve System-an Asian Perspective. Recipient, numerous awards, honours and grants, including: Distinguished Scholar Fellowship, Korea Research Foundation; Bradley Fellowship (2006); Best Teacher Award, Korea University (2003, 2004, 2005, 2006).
