1998, BE in Naval Architecture; 2000, ME in Information Engineering; 2009, PhD in Systems Innovation, Univ. of Tokyo. Started career at McKinsey & Co. as Management Consultant; former member, industry sector group engaged in business planning for Japanese manufacturers. From 2003, Investment Officer, private equity investment firm, Japan Industrial Partners. From 2007, Assistant Professor and since 2013, Project Associate Professor, School of Engineering, Univ. of Tokyo. Research interests: energy storage systems, systems design, battery life evaluation, demand forecasting, among others. 2012, member of national policy advisory body to the Ministry of Land, Transportation and Tourism. Was engaged in planning the policy strategy for the future energy-efficient society.
