Since he took charge in the Presidency of the Togolese Republic, President Faure Gnassingbé has worked towards national reconciliation and peaceful political climate. Advocating political openness and inclusive participation in the management of public affairs, he has established a permanent dialogue with the entire political class.

Under his leadership, the Togolese economy is recording noticeable growth increase and entered an active phase of modernization, thanks to bold policies.
 
President Faure Gnassingbe's priority is now to improve the living conditions of the population, with particular emphasize on vulnerable persons.

President Gnassingbe holds both a Master degree in management from Paris-Dauphine University and a MBA from George Washington University. He has initiated a range of proactive measures to improve the business climate in Togo and attract investment to support growth and enhance development.

On the Community level, after President Faure Gnassingbe has chaired the West African Economic and Monetary Union, he is now supervising the Ecowas response to the Ebola virus disease .
