Ahmet Davutoglu

Member of Parliament, Grand National Assembly of Türkiye

Degree in Political Science and Economics, MA and PhD, Bogazici University. With International Islamic University of Malaysia: 1990, Assistant Professor; established and chaired Political Science Department; 1993, Associate Professor; 1999, Professor. 1995-2002, taught and had administrative duties, universities in Istanbul. Former Foreign Policy Adviser and, from 2009, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Republic of Turkey; played active role in peace making and mediation efforts to overcome conflicts in the Middle East and the Balkans. Author of several books and articles on foreign policy in Turkish and English, published in several other languages. Recipient of awards and honours, including: one of the Top 100 Global Thinkers, Foreign Policy magazine (2010, 2011 and 2012); one of the 100 Most Influential People in the World, Time magazine (2012).
